Latest News Seagate Momentus 7200.3 Laptop Drives – Firmware Failure 28/07/2009 Following on from the widespread firmware failure problems experienced with Seagate 7200.11 and Maxtor DiamondMax 22 desktop drives, Computer Science Labs are now encountering similar problems with the recently introduced 2.5” Momentus 7200.3 laptop drives. Drives suffering from such failures are recognised correctly by the PC but with an indicated capacity of 0 LBA, making data storage or retrieval impossible. Fortunately recovery is possible using our own data recovery tool our method of reprogramming the drive to display its correct capacity allowing data to be successfully retrieved. |
